Everyone arriving at Scotland's main airports is greeted by a picture of three members of Arbroath Royal British Legion Pipe Band jumping in the air, with their more restrained colleagues in the background.

The images were launched in January to promote a year-long celebration of national achievements. The events were timed to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns. Homecoming has been widely backed by politicians and tourist groups as a way to boost visitor numbers during the coming year.

The picture taken at the World Championships in 2005 shows band members Stephen Russell, David Braidwood and Michael Simpson leaping in the air with other band members in the background.
